Functional Fitness Member


I have been a member of UTC for over one year. My overall level of fitness has significantly improved. I really like the program design. The plyometric, strength and conditioning give me a comprehensive workout. The class size is small; the trainers can offer personalized advice. It`s everything I need; personal coaching, a defined, focused program, and great equipment. I can`t believe that I enjoy going 4 – 5 classes per week. I love it!! This is the gym that continues to take me to the next level in fitness!

Lacrosse


I have been playing NCAA D1 lacrosse at the University of Vermont for 2 years, and when home I train at "UTC" with TJ. This year I received team MVP as a sophomore, was nominated as fan choice conference player of the year (American East Conference), and led my team and conference in assists. A majority of my success can be attributed to TJ and the work he put in to help me develop in to an "athlete" and not just a lacrosse player. The workouts and exercises TJ and his trainers put me through helped me with addressing more of the concepts of being an athlete then just getting "big". He had a workout routine that focused on flexibility, strength, speed, endurance, and agility the essentials to make any athlete successful. I can honestly say the time I put in with TJ over Christmas break my freshmen year in particular are the reason I have seen all this success in lacrosse.


When I got to school my coach struggled finding a sport for me to play and ended up changing what position I played. This was the biggest transition I had to go through as an athlete going from attack to midfield, where I needed to improve my footwork, agility, and speed. The time I put in with TJ at "UTC" paid huge dividends when I went back to school after my first semester and in testing got the record for our team agility test. He also helped to improve my stride so that I was more effective while running increasing my endurance as well as speed.


TJ and his trainers at "UTC" have revolutionary ideas and workouts that are a blessing to find in trainers. I recently had the opportunity to talk with Kansas University basketball team trainer; the Jayhawks have won the Big 12 conference 8 years straight. A lot of their success has to be attributed to the training they do to prepare them mentally and physically for games. When talking to the trainer it became clear that the techniques and philosophy he stressed were the same as the ones I was receiving with TJ at "UTC". The way he trained was to develop players into athletes. This made me realize that what TJ has done for me is taken me from a skilled player and turned me into a "true athlete".

Hockey


Over the last 3 years the Ultimate Training Center "UTC" has been one of the greatest tools to my Hockey Playing Career. The concepts and ideas that TJ, and his professional trainers bring to the table each and every day helped me raise the level of my game and pushed me to the next step.


I started out playing my junior hockey career for the Newmarket Hurricanes, and after two seasons I went on to play NCAA hockey for Plattsburgh State University. It wasn't until after my second season playing here that I discovered UTC.


I found with the time I put into the gym at UTC I felt stronger and better out on the ice. The off-season training and guides given to me at UTC made me excel to the next level. I was named an All-American in my final season in the NCAA, and I went on to play Professional Hockey in the Netherlands.


Going to UTC and getting the training given by TJ, I found my cardio and strength was never an issue on the ice. I was stronger and faster after each season of going to UTC.


I want to take this time to thank both TJ, and the UTC trainers for all of their help pushing me and giving me the knowledge of what training can really do for serious athletes.

Hockey


The Ultimate Training Center provides an excellent personal training program which has prepared me for my future hockey endeavors. Growing up I played for one of the top minor midget teams, "The York Simcoe Express". Several players from my team have moved on to bigger and better things, including myself. After playing nine years of AAA hockey I began training at 'UTC'. Since starting my training, I feel my performance as an athlete has increased dramatically. After my first year with the Newmarket Hurricanes, I have obtained a full scholarship to Clarkson University, a Division 1 school in the ECAC division.


I felt that my conditioning and fitness level on the ice has substantially improved. Being a 17 year old at five foot seven and a hundred and sixty pounds, I needed a program which would give me a competitive advantage against older hockey players. The program developed by TJ and his trainers was what I needed to develop as an all around hockey player.TJ and the UTC trainers have pushed me in every aspect which has thus increased my hockey performance.


I would like to thank all members of the Ultimate Training Center, as they are a key contributor to helping me further my career as a hockey player.
